2020 has seen a changing environment within New Zealand with COVID-19 hitting our shores. It has altered many aspects of daily life, the way we work, think, live and play.
One constant in Kinloch throughout the year has been that the lake has continued to fish well (when we have been allowed!); trout caught have been in great condition, with some heavy weights seen. Hopefully this trend will continue through Labour weekend and on into the festive season.
Spawning trout have also been seen in good numbers up the Whangamata stream in recent weeks, so the signs are that we have a very healthy fishery.
