  • 2020 has seen a changing environment within New Zealand with COVID-19 hitting our shores. It has altered many aspects of daily life, the way we work, think, live and play.

One constant in Kinloch throughout the year has been that the lake has continued to fish well (when we have been allowed!); trout caught have been in great condition, with some heavy weights seen. Hopefully this trend will continue through Labour weekend and on into the festive season.

Spawning trout have also been seen in good numbers up the Whangamata stream in recent weeks, so the signs are that we have a very healthy fishery.

In this September 2020 Newsletter we talk about:
    • Annual Ramp passes
    • Draft Management Plan for Taupo Waters Consultation
    • Marina Security
    • Berthing and Mooring Ropes
    • Marine Insurance
    • Lake Taupo Water Level
    • Marina Fuel Prices
    • COVID-19

  • Annual Ramp Passes
As mentioned in our last newsletter, to help streamline our financial reporting, KML will bring our annual ramp pass renewal date into line with our financial year this year which ends on the 1/10/2019.

Therefore new passes will be available for sale for the 2019/2020 season from 2/10/19. All those who have purchased a 2019 annual ramp pass (valid through to 31 Dec 19) will note there is an overlap for the months of Oct-Dec 2019; you will receive a 25% discount on next year’s pass to account for this overlap (to avoid double-charging for these months).
